Palm New Website Looks Really Awesome!

I checked Palm website today, and I found it totally have changed. It looks truly awesome.

I guess if Palm is doing this also in preparation to the upcoming release of its brand new latest new device (which is based on its brand new Palm OS) this Thursday, then it is a preparation that is really well done. The new site really look truly awesome.

I sincerely look forward to see a brand new device (and brand new operating system) that really looks awesome, and truly work as great too. Rumors said that the brand new device has a touch screen interface on top, with a physical keyboard beneath it. I guess this is one of the best form factor for modern palm computing device these days.

I sincerely hope Palm would be able to introduce a truly great new device; It's about time they make a great comeback!

Amazon Is Still The Best Bookstore Around!

For those that try to find a book, but can not find it in their local bookstore, Amazon.com is always the best online bookstore to consider.

Not only this online bookstore has the most complete book collections on earth, through its collaboration with transport carrier, it can deliver books and stuff within 2-4 business days -- around the globe.

For example, I bought a book recently from Amazon.com, choose 2-4 days express delivery, and today when I track the status of my book delivery, I can see that it was being picked up from Amazon.com USA facility on January 2, being transferred to Anchorage - USA on January 3, arrived in Hongkong on January 4, and now is on the way to me. Probably within the next 24-48 hours, I will receive the book on my desk. Yikes!

I believe Amazon.com is still the best bookstore around, especially when the book (or stuff) that we try to buy is not available in our nearby bookstores.

Posterous' New "Site Management" Panel Looks Awesome!

Today I found a very interesting fact that Posterous-"Manage"-Panel has been enhanced. Now visually it look even more compelling, at the same time: easier to use.

I wish someday, we also could have the ability to add "new tag" through this panel, as well as being able to sort the list based on number of visitor or number of comment given, that way we can manage things even more easily than before.

How Our Lives Being -- Fascinatingly -- Digitized ...

We live in interesting era whereby everything is being digitized. Not only our documents, mail and work being transformed digital, everyday our lives also increasingly being digitized.

The 'jogging shoe' from Nike for example. Nike equipped it with a digital sensor that keeps track of our movement. As we workout outdoor, walking, running, the system record and keep track of our everything for us, and store it inside the attached iPod that the sensors are connected to.

Once we are back and connected, a 'smart software on the internet' will process these data and information, and will provide us feedback regarding our progress from one workout to the next.

Imagine what would be possible later on in the area of business and personal efficiency, productivity, mobility and effectiveness. Such development would be truly awesome!

12 Things That Make Us All So Much Excited About The iPhone Launch, Today .. & In The Past ... :-)

What makes us so much excited about the iPhone launch these days, as well as in the past?

My observation and 'conclusion', perhaps ...

1. The early announcement ...

2. The ongoing preparations ...

12_Things_That_Make_Us_All_So_.zip (413 KB)

3. The interactions & the exciting talk-abouts ...

4. The presentation ...

5. The experience ...

6. The inspiring, exciting, innovating, educating great ads ..

112_Things_That_Make_Us_All_So_.zip (308 KB)

7. The style, pattern and gesture of the great ads ...

8. The intriguing fascinating websites ...

9. The 'awesome' ness of the device itself ... (innovation, design and brand combined) ...

10. The stores (and the 'huge experience' it brings) ...

212_Things_That_Make_Us_All_So_.zip (1705 KB)

11. The massive excitement of being at front of the great innovative movement ...

12. The deepest excitement of being supportive to a great, cool, fascinating cause ...

Products with exciting groundbreaking innovation and deep great cause seem to always bring so much impact and excitement to people, society and masses as a whole. iPhone -- the product, the brand, the cause, the prentation, the leader, the introduction, the attitude, the experience and the launch itself -- seems to have it all, which makes the 'magic' happen even greater.

Would something similar once again happen to the Google phone's (next) launch? -- on a global, massive scale ??

We will see, study, observe and watch ... :-)

Truest Leader Act!

The era of 'steril CEO' that only wants to 'have his shoe cleaned (by others)' is over.

Today's truest entrepreneurs, successful leaders and CEO -- Richard Branson, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs -- do their act directly, draw their detail design themselves, go up the stage and do their awesome presentation themselves. Their feet is on the ground.

Skirmish steril CEOs is so horribly "1930"s. ;-)

The Mac "Museum" ...

The_Mac_Museum_....zip (1999 KB)

It was told by Alex Patsay that somewhere in Moscow, they had one of the biggest collections of old Mac (and NeXT) hardware and software in the world.
Imagine if people around the world could collect their Apple, Mac, NeXT and iMacs that they no longer use in once place, and arrange it by time, ... then we will perhaps be able to see the fascinating 'history', 'story' and 'evolution' of hardware, software, and computer design -- of one the most iconic icon, in the great innovation history of computing -- across time! :-)
